Pack a Wine-Friendly Picnic

Delicious Sandwich

Picking Picnic Food

Picnic food is surprisingly easy to pair with wine. Sandwiches or other ready to eat food make the best picnic fare, as they are easy to transport and leave minimal mess to clean up. We like this Muffuletta Sandwich recipe from the Wine Sisterhood.

Fresh, seasonal fruit is always a great choice for a picnic, and pairs well with crisp Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc or a juicy Rosé. Apples, cherries and grapes always pack well. Make sure to pre-wash them!

Don’t forget a wine friendly cheese selection - learn more about pairing wine and cheese here.
